quadmed AG operates as an insurance broker within the meaning of the Versicherungsvertriebsgesetz (VersVertG — Liechtenstein Insurance Distribution Act) of 5 December 2017 (VersVertG, LGBl. 2018 Nr. 9).
2Authorisation and registration
quadmed AG is entered in the register of insurance intermediaries of the Finanzmarktaufsicht Liechtenstein (Liechtenstein Financial Market Authority, FMA). Register no. of the company: 209920. The register entry can be consulted free of charge on the website of the Finanzmarktaufsicht Liechtenstein at www.fma-li.li or verified, subject to a fee, by means of a register extract issued by the Finanzmarktaufsicht Liechtenstein.
quadmed AG is notified for cross-border activity in further EEA states under the freedom to provide services.
3Advice
quadmed AG offers advice with regard to the insurance products offered.
4Transparency regarding the contract offered
quadmed AG is not under a contractual obligation to conduct insurance distribution business exclusively with one or more insurance undertakings, and does not base its advice on a fair and personal analysis. quadmed AG may conduct, and does conduct, its insurance business with the following insurance undertaking: Squarelife Insurance AG, Landstrasse 33, Postfach 503, 9491 Ruggell, Liechtenstein.
5Holdings
quadmed AG holds neither a direct nor an indirect holding of 10 % or more of the voting rights or of the capital of any particular insurance undertaking.
The parent undertaking of the insurance undertaking Squarelife Insurance AG, Squarelife Holding AG, holds a direct holding of 100 % of the capital and of the voting rights in quadmed AG.
6Remuneration
In connection with the insurance contract, quadmed AG works on the basis of a combination of the following types of remuneration: on the basis of a commission (brokerage), i.e. the remuneration is included in the insurance premium, and on the basis of another type of remuneration, including economic benefits of any kind offered or granted in connection with the insurance contract (performance-related remuneration from the insurance undertaking). No fee is charged to the client; the client incurs no additional costs as a result of engaging quadmed AG.
7Possibility to complain
Complaints about insurance intermediaries pursuant to Art. 74 VersVertG are received by the Finanzmarktaufsicht Liechtenstein, Landstrasse 109, Postfach 279, 9490 Vaduz, Liechtenstein.
8Out-of-court arbitration board
For the settlement of disputes between clients and insurance distributors concerning the services provided, the out-of-court arbitration board is competent pursuant to Art. 75 VersVertG in conjunction with the Finanzdienstleistungs-Schlichtungsstellen-Verordnung (FSV) (Aussergerichtliche Schlichtungsstelle (out-of-court arbitration board), Landstrasse 123, Postfach 343, 9495 Triesen).
